I’m really thankful this year. I’m especially thankful for my family and friends. Sometimes we don’t realize how blessed we really are. For me, fall is a time of reflection. The weather gets a little bit cooler and the leaves cascade down from the trees in a gorgeous array of colors. I wanted to share some of the things that I really love about fall because it’s the best season, right? Spring comes in a close 2nd, but fall takes the cake. I wanted to share a few reasons why I love fall and challenge you to take a little time to notice the simple beauty of the season
The Leaves: Have you ever stopped to notice how gorgeous the leaves are in fall? Deep oranges and reds, mixed with bright yellows and sultry browns. The colors are really something to marvel at. When I take my dogs on walks in the evening, it’s so peaceful. The wind gently shakes leaves out of the trees and it’s so amazing to watch them peacefully float to the ground.
Family: Although family gatherings can be stressful, you still have to be thankful for the family you have. As I get older, I realize that we must accept people for who they are. There is so much peace in acceptance. I’ve also noticed that the more I learn to accept myself, the better I am with accepting others.
Hot Beverages: Who doesn’t love a nice sweet and hot beverage?! I’ve always loved hot cocoa, but recently I’ve tried an instant decaf coffee that I like. I also enjoy chai tea and turmeric milk. I also read that turmeric has so many nutritional benefits, but the taste is what really pulled me in.
Candles: I don’t know about you, but I love a good fall scented candle. Candles scented with apple, cinnamon, spice, and pumpkin are among some of my favorites. Anytime of the year, I love cake scented candles because I love sweets so much!
I’d love for you to share some of the things you love about fall, or your favorite fall memories.
