Doughnuts are really hard for me to pass up. Maybe it’s their bite-sized deliciousness that makes them so irresistible! These Strawberry Donuts are so easy to make that you’ll be adding it to your recipe repertoire immediately. Once my husband tried to make doughnuts from scratch with yeast and it was a disaster! He said they wouldn’t rise…hahaha! He’s actually a pretty good cook, so this is a pretty rare occurrence. These doughnuts are made with cake mix, so there’s not a bunch of measuring and fuss. It’s pretty much fail proof. I pack my daughter’s lunch everyday, so these would be a great snack to pack with her lunch. You can get creative and top these with icing and sprinkles or just eat them plain. Either way, they’re delicious!
1 box cake mix
2 cups sweetened frozen strawberries
Preheat oven to 425.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs and strawberries. Mix well.
Use an icing bag or freezer bag and fill with the doughnut mixture.
Cut off the tip.
Spray doughnut pan.
Squeeze into the doughnut pan, filling 2/3 full.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
