On busy weeknights everyone needs a recipe that they can count on that will be tasty and fulfilling. This Baked Teriyaki Salmon recipe answers the call. What I really like about this recipe is that it basically prepares itself because its baked. We still have our rice cooker from Japan and it makes delicious sushi rice every time. It’s well worth the investment if you love rice the way we do. I paired this with some peas and even my picky son Drew loved it, which is saying a lot! My husband said it was delicious too and it definitely tasted like restaurant quality cuisine. The marinade soaks into the fish so nicely and delivers a fresh and flavorful taste that is sure to become a staple in your home.
- 4 Salmon Filets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Combine all ingredients (except the salmon) in a saucepan on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Put the mixture in the refrigerator to let it cool off.
- Once cooled, add salmon filets and allow to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Spray a pan with non stick cooking spray and add the filets and marinade to pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until salmon easily flakes.
- Serve over rice
