The stomach is the hardest place to lose weight, but with consistent exercise and a healthy diet, it’s very possible! This shake is filled with yummy and healthy ingredients like banana, oatmeal and honey. Individually these ingredients have their own list of benefits. The fiber in the oatmeal helps to lower cholesterol and sugar levels and flushes out your system. Bananas have high levels of tryptophan, which converts to serotonin. (happy mood brain neurotransmitter)  Bananas also aid in digestion and are a natural antacid. Honey isn’t just sugar, it has small amounts of a wide variety of vitamins like iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc to name a few. This list is in no way exhaustive because there are many more nutritional benefits. There isn’t a way to spot reduce fat, but keeping your digestive system cleaned out, helps to burn that stubborn belly fat. Replacing one of your meals with a shake or smoothie will definitely have you on the road to losing weight, especially if you replace your dinner with one. In all, this shake is just good for you, plus it taste good! Check out the recipe below.

Ok so I’ll be going home to try this recipe because we almost always have all these ingredients on hand (including that exact brand of almond milk lol). I will have to substitute honey for agave as my hubby is strictly vegan. But they are both yummy and I could definitely use some shrinkage in the tummy area 🙂

  • Jahshari Wilson
